North Carolina was commissioned in 2005, and exceeded
everybody's expectations. The Merlin is a state of the art, hi-tech
fishing machine that stands alone in her class! Take a trip to the Canyons in style, chasing Large Big Eye Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna & Blue
Marlin.
Always on the prowl for the intense Bluefin battle, we will be
offering early Bluefin trips East of Chatham. We also offer
Bass and Bluefish trips throughout the season.
Fish the beautiful shoal waters of Nantucket sound and Monomoy Island and the cool Atlantic waters off Chatham Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard for trophy Striped Bass and slammer Bluefish Bonita and False Albacore

Striped
Bass and Bluefish off Chatham, Cape Cod and the rips of Nantucket
Island. There are many methods to fish for big striped bass
and slammer
bluefish when fishing Cape Cod and the islands. Some of the
methods that we employ are casting and vertical jigging with
artificial lures and trolling with wire line. Also when
we find stripers, And conditions are right we will set up a drift and try to bait them
with sand eels and circle hooks on very light tackle. When
the
bite is hot this can make for a case of serious cockpit round
robin with rods going off in unison.
Troll the
sunrise bite offshore for school class bluefin tuna and then
finish your trip fishing inshore for big striped bass off of
Monomy Island. This a great way to spend a day on the water
sport fishing on Cape Cod.
We fish the
nutrient rich waters off Cape Cod for these tenacious fish.
This trip leaves in the early am and is a all day trip. We
troll a full offshore tuna spread for these fish and double
digit
catches are common.

This
Charter Fishing trip leaves around early on the first day
of your trip and returns late afternoon or evening the following
day. This
fishing
trip
is offered on our boat Merlin for 4 anglers only so that
you all have maximum
comfort while offshore. Fish the canyons for Yellowfin,
Bluefin, White and Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi (Dolphin), Albacore,
and Big Eye on the troll. Chunk for Yellowfin, Big Eye, and
swordfish after dark, then troll the morning bite for yellowfin,
bluefin, white and blue marlin, mahi mahi (dolphin), albacore,
and big eye.

note: If you would like to pay by check, please send payment a week
before your trip.

($25.00 fee for
any return check)

A
$200 deposit is required when booking this deposit will be
refunded if your trip is cancelled within 7 days of departure.
Only your captain can cancel due to weather or mechanical issues.
All required safety equipment and licenses are available for
your inspection always. As keeping your catch is up to
you, we will clean filet and bag all your fish but please only
keep what you can eat. Taking in excess is a serious waste
of our beautiful resource. Remember pictures
last
forever.

Tuna over 73 inches are the property of Merlin Sport Fishing LLC by
Federal Law.
Your captain and mate work very hard to make your trip an incredible
fishing experience a 15 to 20% gratuity is customary for your mate.
Merlin Sportfishing supplies everything you'll need for your
fishing adventure, such as rod and reels, bait, tackle, and a
knowledgeable crew. You will need to bring bags and coolers for your
catch. Plenty of food and beverage, Dramamine®, and any other health
related prescriptions.
A Note about Alcohol. Please remember that you are with us to have a enjoyable safe time on the water. Please limit your self and be responsible. Please have your beer in cans. Also Hard liquor is not allowed on our boats.
Please read OUR SHOE POLICY: This is something that we must insist on. No work boots or any dark soled shoes are allowed on our boats. Please, white soled sneakers, boat shoes or fishing boots only.
